News Update - January 2016

Happy New Year!

Rising Fives had a successful nativity play that took place on Thursday 17th December 2015 at the Brook Street Chapel in Knutsford, which the minister of the chapel Jean Bradley attended. We hope to post a photo from the day here soon.

We're pleased to announce that ALL STAFF have successfully completed a 12 hour Paediatric First Aid Course that also includes Paediatric Anaphylaxis Training by the training provider Tigerlily. This training course is valid for 3 years and meets OFSTED requirements.

Baby Learners

January's theme is 'Messy play'! Some of the activities will include pasta play, water and ice play, Jelly, shaving foam and baked bean play, baking, painting, sand play

February's theme will be 'People who help us'.  We will be enjoying walks to our local Train station, police station and fire station, mark marking in paint, sand and other materials with the toy police cars and fire trucks, story books and songs

Little Learners

January's theme is 'Textures'. Some of the activities will include pasta play, water and ice play, Jelly, shaving foam and baked bean play, baking, painting, sand play and texture books.

February's theme will be 'Transport'.  We will be walking around the town e.g Train Station, roll play activities, story books, junk modelling, listening to sounds, flash cards. Mark marking in paint, sand and other materials with the toy cars and trucks

Rising Fives

January's theme is 'Textures'. Some of the activities will include making bread, baking, food tasting, playdough, messy activities with different materials, and talking about the five senses.

February's theme will be 'Living on a farm'.  We will be going to the local market to buy some vegetables and will be growing our own vegetables in the garden.  The home corner will be transformed into a farmers market and we will discuss what foods we get from each animal before making our own ice cream!
