Rising 5s

This month we have enjoyed lots of activities that have been planned using “mind mapping”.

The children were lucky to have been able to adopt some tadpoles, very kindly donated by Mr. Martin (for a short time). We all learned about the life cycle of frogs, as we watched the tadpoles develop.

We have been busy digging and planting in the garden, watch out Mr. Titchmarsh! We have lots of budding gardeners.

We had fun decorating pebbles to add to our newly planted flower bed. Our tomatoes are growing nicely after we planted them from seeds and we are looking forward to eating them.

It is a very busy time in the Rising Fives at this time of year, if you require a detailed handover at the end of the day or have any concerns could you please make an appointment with Natalie or Colleen.

Little Learners

Our theme this month is minibeasts. Our budding David Bellamy’s have had lots of fun exploring the garden with the magnifying glasses.

We have made some beautiful pictures of butterflies and bugs.

We will soon be reading the Hungry Caterpillar and looking at its life cycle.

We are looking forward to catching a snail to keep as a pet, feeding it and watching to see if it grows and how it moves.

We have made some magnificent Father’s Day cards for all you lucky Daddies.

We have stayed cool in this beautiful sunshine after making and eating fruit ice lollies and fruit kebabs.

Baby Room

This month’s theme is sensory play, we have enjoyed lots of fun activities including making glitter ice cubes, coloured spaghetti, exploring soft and hard sensory trays.

We have enjoyed lots of visits to the mere to see the ducks and ducklings.

We also enjoyed making the most of the beautiful weather during a trip to Tatton Park, let’s hope it lasts.

Chester Zoo Trip

We are taking our annual trip to Chester zoo with our school leavers on Friday 31stAugust. If it is not your child’s normal session at nursery, please can you be here at 4pm to collect your child/ children when we return. Please remember to bring a small rucksack for your child/children to put their packed lunch and waterproof coat in.

Note to all parents

Please can all parents make sure their child has a spare change of clothes and a sun hat in their bag and that their bag is on their peg. Please can all items of clothing be labeled with your child’s name.

Thank you for your continued support,
All the KDN team
