Rising 5s
This month we have enjoyed and will be enjoying many more Summer activities inside and outside.
Outside our plants are growing nicely, we have been looking at all the pretty colours and talking about the texture and aroma of our plants.
We have also been focusing on being kind to others, we have been helping our friends and teachers, sharing and taking turns. Most importantly we have been talking about our feelings and the different emotions we sometimes feel.
Sadly, it’s that time of year when we have to say goodbye to our school leavers. We will be hosting a party on Friday 10th August 2pm – 4pm filled full of games and looking back on our memories here at KDN.
Our annual trip to Chester Zoo will also be taking place for the school leavers on Friday 31stof August. Please can we kindly remind all parents to have their child here for 8:45am complete with their backpack as we will be departing for 9:15am sharp. We will return from the zoo at 4pm, so if this is not your child’s normal day please be here at this time to collect your child. Please can you apply sun cream on your child before they arrive. We will be taking sun cream with us to top-up at lunchtime.
We have enjoyed lots of activities outside with water play, having the paddling pool out was and is extra fun and it is very funny splashing each other.
Again, it is still a very busy time in the Rising Fives at this time of year, if you require a detailed handover at the end of the day or have any concerns could you please make an appointment with Natalie or Colleen.
Little Learners
We have also enjoyed and will be enjoying many more Summer activities inside and outside.
We have stayed cool in this beautiful sunshine after making and eating fruit ice lollies and fruit kebabs, splashing in the paddling pool with plenty of water and sand play and pretending to be at the beach.
We have been looking at and learning about creatures that live under the sea. We have created and decorated an arrange of sea creatures for our under the sea display which is now on display in our home room.
We have enjoyed walks to the duck pond at our local park and have also visited Tatton Park at times on our walks. We hope the nice weather continues
Baby Room
We have been very busy in the Baby Learners exploring all things summer. We will be doing painting, gluing and sticking for our summer display.
We will continue our walks in the sunshine, to see the ducks at the local park and visits to Tatton Park. We recently enjoyed painting some flowers to create bunting outside the setting to celebrate the RHS Tatton Flower Show.
We would like to welcome Elodie, Fraser, Florence and Stijn who have all recently joined us in the Baby room.
Please may we ask for a family photograph or two for our family display? We can print these out if this is easier to email them over.
Note to all parents
Please can all parents make sure their child has a spare change of clothes and a sun hat in their bag and that their bag is on their peg. Please can all items of clothing be labelled with your child’s name.
Thank you for your continued support,
All the KDN team
